Vienna – Ready-to-eat salads and bowls are particularly popular when it’s hot. The Association for Consumer Information has tested 15 such products from bakeries, supermarkets and an organic shop. “The result only whets the appetite to a limited extent,” is the conclusion. There was a “very good” seven times. But a third of the samples did not come off as satisfactory or less than satisfactory “because they contained too many unpleasant germs”. Two bowls and a salad were average.
