For too long, ocean racing has been a sport where women make up a non-existent part of the number of participating sailors. Now, however, the all-time high is noted with 13 percent, or 38 boats with at least one woman on board.
Skipper Alice Rosberg
One of them is Skippo’s own Alice Rosberg, who skippers the Elan 310 Groundbreaker. In addition, she is one of the 8,500 women in the She Captain network. An organization that makes a big effort when it comes to encouraging women to take up more space on the lake.
