Kebba Secka decided to donate his organs. This is the first time in Italy that organ donation comes from a refugee who arrived by boat.

“The heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas and corneas were removed, it was not possible to proceed only to the lung, because there was a contusion,” explains Savino Borraccino, director of the anesthesia and resuscitation at the Cannizzaro Hospital, in Catania.
