In Borgerhout (Antwerp), Café Mombasa is a small institution. Appreciated and popular, the establishment has been managed since 2011 by Rein Adons and Bob Campenaerts. This Friday morning, the café unfortunately had to share terrible news with its customers. “In disbelief, with a torn heart and indescribable pain, I let you know that my dear Bob did not wake up yesterday resting,” Rein wrote on Facebook.
On a cycling vacation in Spain, Bob Campenaerts died suddenly. He leaves behind two children, Camiel and Anna. “A father with a big heart. His many friends are losing a true friend,” adds his business partner.
