The Núcleo Bolívar School of Medicine of the UDO is in mourning because it has lost some of its undergraduate and graduate teachers and graduated with brilliant grades.
This is Dr. Jorge Rabat, pioneer of laparoscopic surgery at the HRYP.
He served as Head of the Department of Surgery at the “Ruiz y Paez” University.
In addition, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Surgery.
He was a very simple and humble person in his profession. He attended National and International Medical Congresses giving presentations published by renowned medical journals.
The rector’s authorities and the Bolívar Nucleus have expressed their deep regret at the painful loss of one of their members who was characterized as having been a big-hearted Udista.
