New York: Famous translator Edith Marion Grossman (87) passed away. He died in New York while undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer. Born in Philadelphia on March 22, 1936, Grossman earned a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD from New York University, and began her teaching career at New York University.
