Previously, he served as a staff surgeon and medical director of the cardiovascular and thoracic oncology surgery program at a major local hospital. His arrival aims to broaden access to advanced cardiovascular care across the Las Vegas region.

Hamilton is a longtime Nevadan who earned a pre-professional biology degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Much of his professional training occurred at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas before he returned to Las Vegas to practice.
