Reports: Chelsea reach an agreement to return Werner to the German League

Chelsea player prepares Timo Werner To leave the London club during the current summer transfer season, and return to his former club Leipzig.

The German striker had moved to Chelsea from Leipzig in the summer of 2020, but failed to make the desired impact with the Blues.

Timo Werner participated in 89 games with Chelsea in various competitions, scoring 23 goals and assisting 21.

Werner had previously hinted at his desire to leave Stamford Bridge in order to obtain opportunities to play regularly with another team, and then ensure participation in the World Cup expected at the end of this year.

And according to the famous journalist Fabrizio Romano, Timo Werner will indeed leave Chelsea This summer, he will return to Leipzig once more.

He explained that there is an agreement between the two clubs on that deal, which will be in the form of a permanent transfer and not a loan.

He stated that the two clubs had agreed on the details of the deal, noting that Leipzig officials had reached an agreement with Werner regarding personal terms a month ago.

According to the same journalist, the official announcement of that deal is expected on Monday.
