According to the National Council for Research and Development of Bio-Derivatives (CONIDEBID), the resolution will create more than 70 thousand jobs and will generate a market of more than 2 billion dollars.
Through COFEPRIS (Federal Commission for the Protection of Sanitary Risks), the Federal Secretariat of Health published a Regulation for Cannabis Medicine, which will give impetus to an industry with the potential to generate more than 70 thousand jobs and a potential market greater than the 2 billion dollars, according to the National Council for Research and Development of Bio-Derivatives (CONIDEBID).
In this sense, CONIDEBID indicated that the issuance of the Regulation will contribute to the national economy as it lays the foundations for a first-rate and avant-garde industry.
In addition, according to Erika Santana, director of the agency, the Regulation generates clear rules for access to quality medicine based on cannabis.
“Cannabis will be inserted in equality with allopathic, herbal and homeopathic medicine“, said.
On the other hand, he pointed out that in the agricultural sector, good practices and traceability are promoted for produce high quality products from seed to medicinal items finished in the entire pharmaceutical production chain, both for the domestic and export markets.
