Restitution of African heritage, Benin will find its works

From October 26 until October 31, the Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac Museum presents the exhibition to the public: ” Benin, the restitution of 26 works from the royal treasures of Abomey Before their final return to their country of origin. The time for restitution seems to have sounded, after the Savoy-Sarr researchers’ report in 2018 commissioned by the Élysée, and a year after the vote by Parliament of a law derogating from the French Heritage Code organizing the transfer of property works.
