Revolut Belgium: 1 Million Users & Growing Popularity Among Young Investors

Revolut has surpassed one million customers in Belgium, experiencing rapid growth with an average of 25,000 modern users joining each month, according to reports in De Standaard and HLN. The digital banking app’s popularity is particularly pronounced among younger demographics.

The surge in users comes as the company offers a range of financial services, including international money transfers to over 160 countries, the ability to hold 38 currencies within the app, and spending capabilities in more than 150 currencies. Revolut also provides investment opportunities, prompting questions about whether the platform facilitates excessive spending and investment among its younger user base, as noted by De Standaard.

Revolut offers tiered subscription plans, including Revolut Metal, a 12-month plan available with monthly or annual billing. Subscribers to Revolut Metal can cancel their plan at any time, though fees may apply depending on the timing of the cancellation. Customers retain benefits for the remainder of their paid billing cycle, excluding any applicable break fees. The Revolut Metal plan is available in Belgium, according to Revolut’s website.

The company’s Ultra plan, priced at €70 per month, provides benefits such as unlimited airport lounge access, monthly global data, partner subscriptions, and cancellation cover.

Contemporaneously, German defense company Rheinmetall has seen a substantial influx of orders, as reported by Trends.be. Revolut allows users to invest in companies like Rheinmetall, as demonstrated in a YouTube tutorial.
