Riots at Makhachkala Airport in Dagestan: Over 20 Injured and Police Officers Become Victims

More than 20 people were injured in riots at the Makhachkala airport in the Republic of Dagestan. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

“More than 20 people were injured as a result of the incident at Makhachkala airport, two people are in serious condition. Among the victims are police officers,” the department noted.

October 29, hundreds of residents of Dagestan gathered near the airport in Makhachkala with posters to meet the plane arriving from Israel. Those gathered forced their way into the airport and onto the runway. Later, protesters threw various objects at security forces. One of the policemen hit in the head by a stone.
