Luis Díaz is probably the best Colombian soccer player in the world today, his talent and his ‘claw’ when competing have led him to stand out in all the teams he has played for, including Porto. Team that decided to look for Jesús, ‘Lucho’s’ younger brother, to continue the tradition.

The relationship between Colombians and Porto is almost idyllic, as there have been many coffee growers who have excelled with the ‘dragons’ team: Radamel Falcao, James Rodríguez, Freddy Guarín, Juan Fernando Quintero, Jackson Martínez, Mateus Uribe and the most recent, Luis Diaz.

‘Lucho’ signed directly following being a Junior figure and had all the expectations of being a promise that might mark an era in the Portuguese league.

And although he was not the idol expected in Porto, because he quickly convinced the entire world and Liverpool took him, he did manage to be the figure of the team. So much so that the Portuguese team decided to bet on his younger brother.

This is how Jesús Díaz is doing in Porto:

Jesús made his debut at Barranquilla FC at the beginning of 2021 and just a year and a half later, Porto B requested a loan to take over the player’s services for a year to try to convince the club and finally be bought.

However, following playing three UEFA Youth League games, including a quarter-final, in which his team was eliminated at the hands of Liverpool, in a penalty shootout in which the Colombian wasted his shot.

Unfortunately, the 19-year-old footballer did not fully meet the club’s expectations and will return to Barranquilla. Even so, there is a light of hope, since Porto reportedly reserved the option to buy his pass, in case the team is interested in him once more.
