Double time trial world champion in 2018 and 2019, Rohan Dennis is suspected of having killed his wife and was arrested by the police, several Australian media report. The 33-year-old runner, who retired from sports this year, allegedly hit his partner on Saturday evening around 8 p.m. (local time) near Adelaide.
Melissa Hoskins, 32 years old and mother of two children, was treated by emergency services but did not survive her serious injuries. The rider had also won two stages of the Tour de France and wore the yellow jersey for one day.
