The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEAT) published, on Thursday, a draft of “Romania’s National Strategy for Tourism Development”, which shows, among other things, that Romanians who make a penny from renting out homes on online tourism platforms like Airbnb or Booking.com “should be subject to at least some regulations to be able to provide statistical data and information on how destinations should manage their operations”.
