Rosengård at Risk: Zecira Musovic Exposes Dark Underbelly Threatening Sweden’s Women’s Football

In the clip above, Musovic develops his thoughts on the threat posed to the players.

Rosengård has had a sensational season in the women’s league and secured the SM gold already after 22 rounds, with Friday’s victory at home against Kristianstad.

– It is a club that means a lot to me and is close to me to this day. I wish them every success. They clean up the women’s league and they feel unbeatable, says former Rosengård player Zecira Musovic, who today plays for Chelsea.

Despite the positive results, Rosengård’s season has been marred by worrying headlines.

What started with threats against a single player in the team has developed into a threat against the entire women’s league.

Zecira Musovic condemns the threats.

– It is absolutely incredible. That we should have a threat image around a sport that unites people. We will create a community where everyone is welcome. This is completely wrong, says Musovic.

“Needs to be on guard”

Some of the threats involved are direct death threats. Something that Musovic himself has not achieved during his career.

– No, I don’t have that as an individual. And I haven’t heard that it happened around us either. But I know we have a great security team at Chelsea and in the national team to protect us before anything happens, she says, adding:

– Having said that, you need to be on your guard and continue to prevent so that you don’t get there. Once you get there, there is a risk that it may be too late.
