Marco Rossi made an exclamation point in the Minnesota Wild’s first preseason game. In the 3-2 win once morest the Colorado Avalanche, the Vorarlberger contributed two assists.

The 21-year-old set up Calen Addison’s power play goal to make it 2-0, following which Rossi initiated the Wild’s victory with another assist in overtime.

Rossi also shone at the face-off point. The center won 80% of his faceoffs and clocked 19:23 ice time.

Minnesota coach praises Rossi

Minnesota coach Dave Evason praised Rossi following his performance: “He played outnumbered and outnumbered. He played a fantastic pass in overtime, that’s his strength. He’s a distributor. He played like he was part of the squad.”

The NHL season begins on October 7th. The Minnesota Wild will be in action for the first time on October 14 (02:00 GMT).
