Explosions took place in Rotterdam overnight from Friday to Saturday. One of the two occurred at 5 a.m. in a house in Olmendaal, in the south of the city. The emergency services were able to take care of a certain number of people thanks to the smoke which emanated from it.
A few hours earlier, an explosion took place near the door of an apartment building in the west of Rotterdam. No one was injured in the explosion, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. The porch, however, was damaged.
The Rotterdam region has been faced with a large number of explosions in recent months. This year there have already been more than 50 explosions, more than all of last year, according to police figures.
