Royal Institute Forecasts: Low Clouds and Freezing Fog to Give Way to Partly Cloudy Skies with Occasional Sunny Appearances

2023-12-02 07:11:11

Low clouds and freezing fog will give way to partly cloudy skies on Saturday, with occasional sunny appearances. However, the gray weather might prove persistent in places, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). During the day, a few wintry showers over the North Sea will reach the coastal region, then reach the west of the country. Other regions are expected to remain dry.

The maximums will be around 4°C by the sea, between 1 and 3°C in most regions and between 0 and -4°C in the Ardennes. The weak wind of variable direction will orient to the northwest along the seaside, and to the southwest in the interior of the country.

This evening, the last winter showers will fade over the west of the country. At night, the sky will become slightly cloudy then a few banks of low clouds or freezing fog may form locally. Minima will vary between -2 and -4°C in the west and center of the country. South of the Sambre-et-Meuse furrow, temperatures will drop to between -5 and locally -10°C on the snowy high plateaus of the Eastern Cantons. The light south to southwest wind will become moderate at times.
