Cannes – Swedish director Ruben Östlund will serve as jury chairman at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. The two-time winner of the Palme d’Or was “happy, proud and honored” regarding the task that falls to him at this year’s festival edition from May 16th to 27th. “Nowhere in the film world are expectations as high as when the curtain rises at the Cannes competition,” he was quoted as saying by the organizers on Tuesday.
