“Russia-Africa Summit 2021: Vladimir Putin Invites African Leaders to St. Petersburg”

Vladimir Putin invited the heads of state and government of Africa to St. Petersburg. And also congratulated them on Africa Day, informs May 25 official website of the President of the Russian Federation.

Previously, this holiday was called Africa Liberation Day. Putin noted that the memorable date has become a symbol of freedom and prosperity and added that he would be glad to see the leaders of African countries in St. Petersburg.

“I am sure that the second Russia-Africa summit, which will be held in St. Petersburg in July, will make it possible to define new tasks for expanding our country’s constructive cooperation with African partners,” the Russian president said in his address.

The head of state noted that cooperation is being carried out in a number of areas, in particular, in trade, science and technology.

The Russia-Africa summit will be held in St. Petersburg from 26 to 29 July.
