Russia claims nearly 200,000 people mobilized in the army in two weeks

Ukrainian counter-offensive gains ground in the South

Russian forces are struggling in northern Ukraine’s Kherson region, where the Kyiv army has been waging a counter-offensive for several weeks, according to occupation officials and specialist bloggers who follow Russian military movements.

The leader of the Russian occupation of Kherson (South), Vladimir Saldo, was the first to admit to Telegram a “breakthrough” Ukraine and in particular the loss of the village of Dudtchany, before ensuring that the Russian air force had “stopped” the Ukrainian advance.

The advance of the Ukrainian forces “in the Dudchany area was arrested (…) don’t panic”then hammered one of his assistants, Kirill Stremoussov, in a video broadcast Tuesday on his Telegram account.

Chain Telegram Russian Rybar, who follows the movements of the Russian forces, noted that the Ukrainians were progressing in the areas of Arkhanhelske and Dudtchany in order to “cut off the supplies of the Russian group on the right bank of the Dnieper”.

For their part, the Ukrainian forces remain silent on their advances in the south of the country. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confined himself to saying in his evening address on Monday 3 October that “new localities have been liberated in several regions”. “More and more occupiers seek to flee, more and more casualties are inflicted on the enemy army”he said once more.
