MOSCOW, June 27 (Xinhua) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday (June 26) Signed a decree extending a ban on the export of Russian oil and petroleum products to foreign buyers who set a price ceiling on oil products.

Putin previously signed the original decree on Dec. 27, 2022, to impose countermeasures on Western countries to limit the price of Russian oil products. It came into force on February 1, 2023, and was originally expected to last until July 1, but Putin has officially extended the decree to December 31. . 2023 from this last revision.

The above decree prohibits the supply of Russian oil and petroleum products to foreign legal entities and individuals. If there is a price ceiling in the contract, whether directly or indirectly

The decree is in response to actions taken by the European Union (EU), G7 countries and Australia. It resolved to set the price ceiling for Russian crude oil transported by sea at 60 US dollars (regarding 2,100 baht) per barrel in December 2022.
