Ouagadougou – Burkina Faso and the Russian state nuclear company Rosatom signed a declaration of intent on Friday to build a nuclear power plant in the West African Sahel state. This was announced by the Energy Ministry of Burkina Faso. The nuclear power plant will enable the country to meet its energy needs, it said. The agreement was signed by Energy and Mines Minister Simon-Pierre Boussim and Nikolay Spasskiy, deputy general director of Rosatom.
