Russian figure skater, Olympic champion of the 2022 Games in Beijing in women’s single skating Anna Shcherbakova fell ill with mononucleosis. It became known portal Sport24.

Sources report that Shcherbakova had to suspend training at the preparatory camp of the Eteri Tutberidze team in Novogorsk near Moscow. The possible recovery time for the skater has not yet been announced.

Note that mononucleosis is an acute viral disease in which there is a severe fever, damage to the pharynx, lymph nodes, liver, and spleen.
