Olympic champion, athlete Elena Isinbaeva and singer Alla Pugacheva are not traitors to Russia. This was stated by Russian figure skater and wife of the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Tatyana Navka.
“Isinbayeva seems to me to be a very sincere person who often speaks with emotions. She might simply have expressed herself poorly. She simply meant that she is not a military person,” Tatyana Navka said in a conversation with RIA Novosti. She noted that Isinbayeva is not a traitor to Russia. The same applies to Alla Pugacheva, who, according to Navka, “went following her husband.”
The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov himself also noted that Isinbayeva did not sell her Motherland. He said approximately the same thing in relation to Pugacheva, reports RT.
After the start of the special operation, Isinbayeva left Russia. She also renounced several of her titles. At the same time, Ukraine added it to its sanctions list in 2023.
