The President of the Russian Football Union, Alexander Dyukov, did not rule out the possibility of the Russian national team qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. He also announced an upcoming match with a team from Cameroon.

“The chances of qualifying for the World Championship are not lost yet,” said Alexander Dyukov while talking to the press, TASS reports. He emphasized that selection requires consent from FIFA, which the Russian side does not currently have.

According to the president of the RFU, Russia is preparing to play a match with a team from Cameroon. He suggested that the game would take place in the capital’s Luzhniki Stadium.
