Russian Ministry of Defense Intercepts and Destroys Multiple Drones in Belgorod and Kursk Regions – Updates and Consequences Revealed

During the night of March 14, duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 11 aircraft-type drones over the Belgorod region and three over the Kursk region, reports Ministry of Defense.

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov tells regarding the consequences of the attacks. There were no casualties. In Belgorod, as a result of falling UAV debris, dry grass caught fire; it was promptly extinguished by fire crews. Windows were broken in one private house.

In the village of Prokhorovka, drones crashed and subsequently detonated. As a result of the first explosion, the roof of a private house caught fire, windows were broken and the facade was cut. No one lived in the house. Fire crews quickly arrived at the scene.

“The second drone detonated near the same house, the blast wave damaged a neighboring private residential building – the facade and fence were cut. No one was hurt,” Gladkov notes.

Kursk Governor Roman Starovoit does not report the consequences, but twice warned regarding the danger: regarding the attack of drones and the operation of air defense. At 06:14 there was announced alarm cleared.
