Kyiv – 11 people were killed in a Russian missile attack on the town of Kryvyi Riyya, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. 28 people were injured. Many buildings were destroyed. A missile attack in the nearby town of Uman in April killed 23 people, including 6 children.

Harkiv, the country’s second largest city, was hit by a powerful drone attack. Many buildings were damaged. Ukraine claimed to have shot down 14 cruise missiles and 4 Iranian-made drones. Ukrainian forces continue heavy counterattacks in Bahmut and Donetsk. Ukraine claimed to have recaptured 7 villages.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in Moscow that 25–30% of the military vehicles supplied to Ukraine by the West had been destroyed. He also said that there is no need for martial law in Russia to deal with cross-border attacks.
