Russian special forces successfully used the new Sosna-N robotic sniper detector in the special operation zone. An informed source in the military-industrial complex spoke regarding this.
“A batch of Sosna-N anti-sniper systems was purchased for special forces and was successfully tested in the Northern Military District zone,” writes TASS, citing a source familiar with the situation. The laser-optical installation is capable of scanning the space around itself around the clock and detecting optical devices (sniper rifles, scopes, binoculars) that conduct surveillance.
The new device can operate at distances of up to three thousand meters, and the suppression range reaches two thousand meters. The weight of Sosna-N is 4.6 kilograms. The detector kit includes a control tablet that weighs regarding 1.1 kilograms.
