Russia’s Oil Production Reduction Plan for 2024: Insights from OPEC Meeting

Spokesperson for Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak TASS told TASS yesterday (June 4) that Russia would reduce oil production to 9.328 million barrels per day in 2024.

Yesterday, the meeting of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies or OPEC Plus Russia’s oil production quota was set at 9.828 million barrels per day. But this figure does not include 500,000 barrels per day of voluntary cuts in oil output, so Russia’s real oil output in 2024 will be 9.328 million barrels per day.

Mr Novak said The OPEC Plus agreement to limit oil supplies until the end of 2024 and the voluntary cuts in production by many countries. This will make it more predictable for the market over the next 18 months.
