Saied orders the rescheduling of the debts of the hydraulic groups

The head of government, Najla Boden announced at the opening of the periodic conference of governors, this Saturday morning, that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, ordered the rescheduling of the debts of the hydraulic groups which will have distinguished themselves in their activities and the resumption of the distribution of drinking water to all citizens throughout the territory of the Republic.

Quoted by Mosaïque fm, she called on governors to be careful in implementing this water supply decision, whether for the needs of farmers in irrigation or for citizens, especially with the advent of the summer and high temperatures.

She added that the water needs of Tunisians are estimated at 420 cubic meters per year, which she considers a worrying percentage that might increase, both in light of climate change which might affect the food and water security of Tunisia.
