SPORTS have become a lifestyle for the people of the capital, both young and old, men and women. Every weekend the local government always provides a location for the community to exercise together while having recreation.
On Sunday (7/7) in the morning, the city of Jakarta was just showered with rain, but this did not reduce the enthusiasm of around 3,000 participants to take part in the Smartfren Run which started and finished at the Senayan East parking lot, Central Jakarta.
Former Minister of Industry Saleh Husin also did not miss out on mingling with the participants who took part in the 10 kilometer route.
This morning the weather was indeed very good, cloudy with occasional light drizzle did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants including Saleh who was accompanied by Ardi from the FT UI Alumni to continue walking towards the finish line.
“On the way, I also met several friends who were also exercising and this is where the enjoyment was obtained,” said Sinarmas Managing Director Saleh Husin.
“Hopefully, by diligently and routinely exercising, especially with a controlled food intake, our bodies will always be fit, healthy and always think positively. And don’t forget, I invite all of us to exercise regularly and continuously,” said Saleh. (Z-7)
