The next round of Salon skug will take place on April 14th in Vienna’s rhiz. This time in focus: female newcomers from the Viennese music scene.

When Iva Olo isn’t double-timed over her hip-hop beats, the Viennese musician is parkouring across the Danube Island or chopping up her guitar with the looping machine. The rapper also released her debut album »Notes« last year, where you fly from the »Castle« over the stars into the rain. Luckily, »extra-terrestrial« Iva Olo can jet from Mars to earth for our salon, to end up with a lot of bass and a lot more bass: for a brief moment in the rhiz.

Between the cemetery grandstand and the Corpus Christi procession lies the creed that only passion turns into beauty. It is not for nothing that Jeanne D’Arte, the Viennese Thea Sophie Beck, waterboards six pieces in a mixture of mate and moorland. Anyone who pulls out seems purified. Everyone else gets lost in their sound.
