Salzburg AG has become a key issue in the Salzburg state election campaign. The trigger was the announcement by the Chamber of Labor that it would present a legal opinion on the electricity price increases in Salzburg and Tyrol. At the same time, the Vienna Commercial Court ruled on Friday a week ago that the association’s electricity price increases were inadmissible. That resonated as far away as Salzburg. Governor Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP), who is also chairman of the supervisory board of the Salzburg state energy supplier, was under pressure and fled to the front.
