Not so long ago, some owners of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ flagships began to complain regarding the camera’s performance, or more specifically regarding unexpected blurring in photos. Samsung has already responded to these complaints.

this is what we know

The company seems to recognize the problem. The support team has explained why it may be happening:

“When testing the camera capabilities of the S23 or S23+, you may have noticed that the area around your subject looks a bit blurry when taking a close-up photo. This is because the S23’s rear wide-angle camera and the S23+ has a bright aperture, which helps when shooting in the dark. However, this also means that more noticeable selective focus can make the background in photos look a bit blurry.”

In addition, the Samsung Community Forum in Poland reports that the company is already working on a solution to this problem. This requires a software fix. A firmware update is already in development that will remove the defect. However, Samsung does not specify when exactly it will be released.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is not affected by this problem thanks to the focus enhancement feature.
