San Marcos University: Medicine students ask to return to face-to-face practices in hospital centers

Cristian Gutiérrez, general secretary of the Student Center of Medicine of the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM), told RPP Noticias that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face practices in hospital centers were suspended, thus preventing students from having contact with patients and receiving tutoring from doctors. “All the practices that were carried out were virtual and many of them might not be carried out because we did not have simulators or simulated patients that might complement this training,” he explained.
