Madrid – The Spanish Parliament has re-elected Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez as head of government. A majority of the 350 deputies voted for the general secretary of the socialist PSOE on Thursday in Madrid. Sánchez’s re-election is controversial across the country because it is linked to an amnesty for Catalan separatists. Sánchez has been in charge of the EU’s fourth-largest economy since mid-2018.
