Thiruvananthapuram: Sanju Samson will lead the Kerala team in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament. The tournament runs from October 16 to November 6. Rohan Kunnummal is the vice-captain of the team. Former Tamil Nadu cricketer M Venkataramana is the head coach of Kerala this season.
Jhalak Saxena and Shreyas Gopal made it to the team. The matches will start with the group stage. Kerala is in Group B of the five-group tournament. Kerala’s first match is once morest Himachal Pradesh in Mumbai on October 16.
Sanju, who was left out of the Indian squad for the Asia Cup, Asian Games and ODI World Cup tournaments, is gearing up to perform well in the Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Sanju Samson is confident of returning to the national team soon.
