Today, Sunday, the Public Prosecution office in Saudi Arabia began investigating an expatriate who impersonated a health practitioner and gave a lecture in a hotel in the Kingdom.
An official source in the Public Prosecution stated that the Public Prosecution Office charged the expatriate with violating the provisions of the Health Professions Practice Law.
The investigation procedures revealed that the accused published false medical information through his account in a social media program, gave a lecture in a hotel in this regard, and provided what he claims are medical consultations while not having an academic qualification in the medical specialty, in addition to the absence of a regular document from the competent authorities. He is authorized to perform health practices, or to provide medical opinion to patients.
The source stressed the prohibition of impersonating any of the titles of practicing or practicing health professions, or using means in that, without obtaining a license from the competent authority, and that this requires criminal accountability.
