Saudi Arabia Launches Hydrogen-Powered Truck for Carbon-Free Transport

Riyadh – A hydrogen-powered truck, which started with the aim of making a carbon-free environment possible, has been put on the road in Saudi Arabia. The truck is designed to carry cargo in compliance with safety standards. It has enough fuel capacity to cover a long distance of more than 400 km.

The Saudi Public Transport Authority in collaboration with Almajdooi Logistics Company launched a hydrogen truck for testing purposes. There are no carbon emissions when running a hydrogen truck. He added that it is compatible with Saudi’s sustainable development initiatives and will contribute to the achievement of the National Plan for Transport Development and Logistics. Almajdooi Logistics Company has entered into a collaboration agreement with Air Products Qudra to drive trucks and refuel hydrogen.
