Scams, poor workmanship … The Senate warns of fraud in aid for energy renovation

It has been the classic game of cat and mouse for years. As part of a commission of inquiry on “the effectiveness of public policies in terms of energy renovation”, the senators looked into the way in which crooks adapt as regulations evolve, to appropriate part of the aid intended for the works. Each year, the State devotes 10 billion euros to the renovation of buildings. After six months of investigations, their conclusions, a 200-page report that we were able to consult exclusively, were presented on Wednesday.
