“Sh … Covid”
Golf legend Norman is in the hospital
Most recently, Greg Norman played a tournament alongside Tiger Woods and Bernhard Langer, but the Australian golf star is now in the hospital, suffering from Covid-19. He has clear words for the virus.
The Australian golf star Greg Norman complains of an infection with the coronavirus and is therefore in a hospital. The 65-year-old posted a photo of himself with mouth and nose protection in a bed on Instagram. “That says it all. My Christmas Day. On behalf of millions: Sch … Covid,” wrote Norman. “Let’s leave this sh … behind us so we never have to experience that again,” added Norman.
Norman, who lives in the USA, first reported on Instagram in a video on Christmas Eve that he had been tested for the corona virus on Tuesday and had a negative result. Nevertheless, he complained of mild symptoms such as a slight headache and some fever. Therefore, he went into self-isolation so as not to endanger anyone from his family. Norman was not yet sure whether the flu-like symptoms meant illness from Covid-19.
He himself was philosophically out of bed: “Let’s look to 2021 and beyond and make this world a better, happier, more successful and more satisfied place,” said Norman. “Whatever the new normal, let’s make it the new normal. We learned a lot of lessons this year, it’s been an ugly year.” He himself is looking forward to “getting out of this quarantine and looking forward to building whatever the great future in 2021 will be.”
Known by the nickname “Great White Shark”, the Australian had only recently participated in a golf tournament in Florida with his son Greg Norman Jr. At the PNC Championship in Orlando – a family tournament in which Tiger Woods and his son and Bernhard Langer and his daughter also played – father and son Norman finished tied for ninth place.
