Scholz announces the end of the combustion dispute

The traffic light coalition in Berlin must agree. Paris suffers interim defeat with nuclear wishes.

“We’ll come to an agreement. It’ll happen, and pretty quickly.” German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) announced on Friday in Brussels that the dispute over the internal combustion engine was regarding to end.

A dispute that overshadowed the EU summit. After a number of heads of state vented their anger, German Transport Minister Volker Wissing apparently gave in, according to German media reports. He is therefore no longer questioning the regulation already negotiated between the EU states on the combustion engine exit. …
