Malappuram: A scooter passenger was thrown more than 10 feet following being hit by a speeding car. The accident occurred at 4.30 pm on Saturday at Manchadi on the Malappuram Kutippuram-Tirur road. A video of the incident has surfaced.
Ruqia (40), wife of Abdul Khader (48), a native of Puttanathani Kunnathodath, was thrown more than 10 feet. Abdul Khader died on the spot. Rukiya, who was seriously injured, was admitted to a private hospital in Kottakal.
The careless speeding car hit the scooter. Seeing the car coming, the scooter tried to move to the left as much as possible, but was hit by the car.
