The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office is still looking for the perpetrator of Saturday’s deadly shooting in Sint-Lievens-Houtem. A robotic photograph was released.
Two people were shot and injured in the municipality of East Flanders on Saturday followingnoon. Lawyer Claudia Van Der Stichelen did not survive the incident. The other victim is the lawyer’s son. He was taken to hospital.
After the shooting, the shooter left on foot, probably in the direction of the market square of Sint-Lievens-Houtem. The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office reported that the shooter was dressed in a green or blue suit or jacket. “He was dressed in a green or blue jumpsuit or jacket and carried a gray or dark backpack. The man is believed to be between 60 and 65 years old. He is 1.80 meters tall, of normal build, bald with short gray hair and speaks Flemish,” we read in the research report.
