Senatur and EBY agree to promote tourism plans in the area of ​​influence of the hydroelectric plant

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The National Secretariat of Tourism and the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY) signed an institutional cooperation agreement to develop plans that promote tourism in the area of ​​influence of the binational, in the departments of Itapúa, Misiones, Ñeembucú and Caazapá.

EBY director Luis Benítez stressed that the agreement will be a stronger tool for the work expected to be developed with Senatur. The entity will support with human resources, infrastructure and investments that improve the tourist sites of the four departments.

“We want to promote the sites and provide tourists with the amenities they deserve,” he said, adding to the attractions of the hydroelectric dam, such as the ecological refuge and the visitor center.

The promotion will be carried out in conjunction with Senatur, with an emphasis on social networks, for a work that includes producing audiovisual materials, added the Minister of Tourism, Angie Duarte.

In addition to the attractions in the area of ​​influence of the binational company, river tourism will be promoted in the area where the Paraná and Paraguay rivers meet, as well as shopping tourism at border crossings.
