In Senegal, following two days of discussions, the national dialogue convened by President Macky Sall made its recommendations. The main recommendation is to hold the first round of the presidential election for June 2.

Also in the news: After 18 months of estrangement, France and Morocco wish to open a new chapter. It is with this in mind that French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné went to Rabat to meet his counterpart Nasser Bourita. To talk regarding it, we received Khadidja Mohsen-Finan, a specialist in the Maghreb and a teacher at the University of the Sorbonne.

Finally last Saturday, the Berlinale crowned the Franco-Senegalese director Mati Diop with the Golden Bear for her documentary on the restitution by the former colonial powers of works of art stolen in Africa. The Royal Treasures returned to Benin in November 2021 are the plot of the film. So, inevitably on site, this reward arouses reactions.
