Diamniadio, September 11 (APS) – The coach of the national football team Aliou Cissé assured Monday that his team will give the “best possible show” to win the match once morest Algeria scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. GMT at the Me Abdoulaye stadium Wade from Diamniadio.

“The team will give the best possible show to win the match once morest Algeria (…) for four, five days we have been preparing for this match. Today we are ready,” Cissé assured Monday early in the evening.

He was speaking during the pre-match press conference followed by a Lions training session 24 hours before facing the Fennecs of Algeria on Tuesday at 7 p.m. GMT at the Me Abdoulaye Wade stadium in Diamniadio.

“Algeria is a great team. It is one of the best teams in Africa. I believe that these are the matches that the African continent needs. It might be Mali, Morocco or even France because that’s where Senegal is currently,” argues the Lions coach.

In front of the press, he spoke largely regarding the change in philosophy of the Senegal national team which takes advantage of FIFA dates to face the big teams.

“A few years ago we wouldn’t have chosen a match like that. Maybe we weren’t equipped enough or ready enough to host this kind of match. But today the progress of this national team is to be able to play with big guys without being afraid to come and play with us,” said Cissé, recent winner once morest Brazil in a friendly match (4-2).

“Senegal has a magnificent infrastructure and cannot afford to go two years without having a big match to play at home. We are no longer afraid of welcoming big teams. This is why we are very happy to welcome the Algerians. And tomorrow (Tuesday) we will try to give the African public the best possible show and win the match,” he promised.
