The Carinthian police have investigated a serial burglar who is accused of 180 crimes in Carinthia, Tyrol and Styria. The 39-year-old Moldovan-Romanian dual citizen broke into businesses and stole cash, gold coins, tools, coffee machines, alcoholic drinks and cigarettes worth several hundred thousand euros. The total damage amounts to a mid-six-figure euro amount, the police said on Wednesday.
Officials from the Carinthia State Criminal Police Office investigated the man following extensive investigations. To do this, they compared traces and video surveillance, which enabled the 39-year-old to be assigned a number of series of burglaries.
